Honors and Awards

Eagle Scout Award. Back in 1980, I finished the requirements for this award. As a result of that experience, I volunteered my time as Assistant Cub Master and Assistant Scout Master for a local troop.
I got involved with the program with my son and helped him earn his Eagle badge.

Youth Expo "Top Hand" Award. In October, 2012, I received a belt buckle for my volunteer work for the Youth Expo Livestock Show program.

BMC IT Star Award. I received IT's first Star Award in 2004. These awards recognized accomplishments for employ contributions during a given quarter. Since that time, I have
received two additional Star Awards.

Vice President of Katy Livestock Show and Rodeo. I've been active in this organization for a long time. In 2011, I became a V.P. and currently manage photography, advertising,
and marketing committees.

Head Basketball Coach. For several years, I was a basketball coach for Katy Youth Basketball. This was a great time for me playing with my kids and helping them to learn and love the game.

Junior Achievement. For one year, I tried my hand working with this program. It was very rewarding and allowed me to get a little practice speaking in front of groups. A class of Jr. High students is a tough crowd.

Novel CNE. A few years ago when Novel was a hot technology, I acquired my Certified Novel Engineer certification while employed by Amoco.
